Homegoing services for Mrs. Joyce Ann Deering, who passed away, Friday, October 29, 2010, will be held Saturday, November 6th, 2:00 p.m., at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, with, Rev. Donald Yeoman, officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa. Joyce was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. She attended Hillsborough County Public Schools. She is a graduate of Chamberlain High School, Class of 1970, graduate of Hillsborough Community College and attended University of South Florida. She was the dedicated wife of Winfred Deering of Tampa. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Elder Timothy Yeoman and Helen Jackson Yeoman. She leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters, Jennifer Alvarado (Emanuel), Alicia Welcome (Daniel) and Andrea Deering; two sons, Jeremy Deering and Benjamin Deering; three grandchildren, Amaya May, Jamius Alvarado and Joel Alvarado; four brothers, Cornell Yeoman (Iva), Marvin Yeoman (Lorena), Rev. Donald Yeoman (Debra) and Patrick Yeoman; two sisters, Dr. Carolyn Williams-Ellis and Linda Yeoman; brother-in-law, Hillary Deering (Nancy); and a host of nephews, nieces and sorrowing friends. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Saturday, November 6th from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at the Chapel for the service on Saturday at 1:45 p.m.
