A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Juanita Padrika Griffin of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017 will be held Friday, October 27th, 10:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The interment will be at Orange Hill Cemetery, 4900 E. Chelsea St., Minister Adolphus Merricks, Jr., officiating. Juanita Griffin was born September 1, 1941 to the late Alexander and Dorothy Green in Clearwater, Florida. She loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed feeding the birds that visited her yard. Her favorite flowers were the cacti and lilies in her yard. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Dorothy Green; brother, Ray Green and sister, Dorothy Jene Merricks. She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her loving husband of 54 years, George Griffin Jr.; children, SanJuan Wheeler, Joyce Griffin and George Griffin; grandchildren, Austin Wheeler; brothers, Alexander Green (Betty), Henry Green (Caroline) and Virgil Green (Patricia); sisters, Magnolia Green, Joyce Cooper (Willie) and Lorraine Parker (Earl); brother-in-law, Adolphus Merricks, Sr.; a host of nieces, nephews; cousins, Adonica Merricks and Lillie Mae Howard. The friends are asked to meet at the graveside following the service.
