Obituary

A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Juanita Jones Priester of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 will be held on Saturday, June 5th, at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Dr. Darren Jones presiding with Dr. Davina Jones, eulogist, officiating. The interment will be held in Orange Hill Cemetery.

God, Our Father who doth all things well and make no mistakes. On May 25, 2021, Juanita Jones (Nene) was called home to be with the Lord. Juanita was born in Tampa, Florida on April 17, 1948, to the late Bertha Mae & Robert Lee Jones, Sr. She was preceded in her death by her brothers, Albert (Pop) and Sheldon Jones; sister, Jewel Jones-Calhoun; nephew, Reginald (Art) Jones; grandson, Michael Wells II, and grandparents. Juanita was a member of New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Reverend Larry Roundtree, Pastor. She was a member of the Golden Gem Ministry. Juanita was a true die-hard Tampa Bay Buccaneers Fan, she loved to travel, attend family events, a great supporter, full of laughter and jokes, loved her family dearly. She leaves cherished fond memories of her son, Andre Padilla Sr.; like a daughter, Vi'Andrea Lowman; grandson, Andre Padilla Jr.; sisters, Roberta Robinson (Frank),Toni Jones Hamerter (Hendrick), Monica Jones Moffett, Rhonda Jones and Varonica Jones Moore; brothers, Archbishop David Jones (Bevelyn) and Robert Jones Jr, Alfonso Williams; devoted grandchildren, Bahiya Woods, Mark Wells, Brandi Carter, Reginald Allen, D'Vonte Grier, A'niaya JnBaptiste, Jo'hanna Lowman, Michael Hamilton ,Josiah Meekin, Malachi Hamilton; devoted family friend, Sharise Grier; cousins, Annie Freeman, La'Tasha Mann, Alberta Delaughter; Nette and Rickey Robinson; best friends, Lois Jones, Annie Smith, Carolyn Young, Iszola Wright, Gloria Sterrex, Mrs. Evelyn Flagler Shanks, Linda King and Errol Murray; Hartline Plus Drivers; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, June 4th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
