Mass of the Resurrection for the repose of the soul of Mrs. Juanita Maria Roby of 3725 E. 38th Avenue., who passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010, will be held Wednesday, June 30th , 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church 1203 North Nebraska Avenue, with Father Hugh Chikawe, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Mrs. Roby was born May 15, 1930 in Tampa, Florida. She enjoyed watching her soap operas, and always trying to keep peace and helping others. Mrs. Roby and her husband were the owners of the original Caldonia's Bar-b-q for fifty-one years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Carrie Elliott; son, Earl A. Young and granddaughter, Juanetta Young. She is survived by her loving husband, Arthur Roby; children, Ronald A. Young, Cheryl M. Jackson and Michelle M. Roby; grandchildren, Yonce C. Jones (Alan) MN, Andrea N. Young-Townes (Gerald), Anthony J. Keel, Ashley J. Young, Alysya J. Rosas, Stephaun N. Jackson, Azana M. Banks, Solana A. Banks, Samariah N. Jackson, Jaylen M. Roby; great grandchildren, Christopher Q. Gillard, Earl Q. Townes, Armond C. Townes, L'Tya A. Jones, Kam A. Jones, Jahbri Q. Jones, Idrees K. Jones, Aliyah M. Jones, Nadia M. Keel, Myana A. Carey, Johnathan T. Carey; a host of cousins and friends and very devoted friends, Lessie Lanier, Olivia Darby, Eddie O. Simpson, Gwendolyn Hewitt and Linda Mandrell. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday evening. Catholic wake services will be held from 6-7 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church for the service.
