In loving memory
Jyotsna Soni passed away peacefully on the morning of June 11, 2021. She was 69. Jyoti was a warm, loving kind woman who enjoyed nothing more than being of service to others and spending time with her large family. She was a pillar of strength and unity in her family. She is survived by her husband Dr. Pravin Soni, son Mehul Soni and his wife Parul Soni , daughter Vaishali Baxi and her husband Rupen Baxi, grandchildren Suran Soni; Sara Soni; Vishen Baxi; Shailen Baxi; Maya Baxi; brothers Pravin Undavia; Bansilal Undavia and Suresh Undavia.
Jyotsna Soni was born on July 7, 1951 in Savar Kundla in Gujurat State of India. She was youngest of 6 siblings. She grew up and received her education in Bhavnagar earning a Bachelors of Science in Microbiology. She met and eventually married Dr. Pravin Soni on February 24, 1973. She moved to the United States in 1975 and gave birth to Mehul Soni in 1976 and Vaishali Soni in 1979. Jyoti was a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker. She dedicated her life to raising her children and maintaining a solid household while also maintaining a bond with extended family at back home in India. She never forgot where she came from. Jyoti will always be remembered for her warm radiant smile that would make anyone feel at ease in her presence. She wanted nothing more than to feel connected to her family, friends, and the world.
In lieu of gifts or flowers, the family encourages anyone wishing to honor Jyotsna Soni to donate in her name to the American Cancer Society.
