A homegoing service for Mrs. Kathy Rodriguez of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019, will be held on Tuesday, January 29th, 11:00 a.m., at Highland Avenue Church of Christ, 2800 Highland Ave, Bro. Darrell Beasley, officiating. The interment will be Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Kathy was born November 15, 1954 in Tampa, Florida to Dothan Richardson and Eloise Scott. She was a member of Highland Avenue Church of Christ and enjoyed sewing and pottery ceramics. She graduated from Chamberlain High School. She worked for the Hillsborough County Department of Education and later retired from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. She married Romello Rodriguez, Sr. on May 9, 1973. She was preceded in death by her father, Dothan Richardson; husband, Romello Rodriguez, Sr., and granddaughter, Porche Timmons. She leaves five children to mourn her loss, Romello, Jr., Carlos, Yasin, Lisa and Brian Rodriguez; twelve grandchildren, Latesha and Eriel Timmons, Felix, Jr., and Felecia Harrell, Yasin, Jr., and Romello Rodriguez, Jaharri Thompson, Shadaila Barnes, Markierra Burney, Carlos, Jr., Carlisa, and Romesha Rodriguez; six great-grandchildren, Kylee Barnes, Lyric Denmark, Skyy Lynch, Mckinzie Bridges, Kendall Couch, and Londyn McCray; loving mother, Eloise Scott; brothers, Keith Scott, Sr., (Nicole), Michael Ishmael, Dothan and Tim Richardson; sisters, Rosalyn McIntosh (Raul), Barbara Dixon, Cassandra Doty, Patricia Drummond and Selina Richardson; aunts, Geneva Norman and Corine Spears; uncles, Robert Spears, and Clarence Scott; nieces, Lakia Shelton, Nakia Scott and Briahna Doty; nephews, Alvin Christopher Bryant, Joshua Cochran, Romeo Doty III, and Keith Scott, Jr.; cousins, Clifford Longworth, Sharon McFarland, Daryl, Jackie and Ernest Norman, Terry, Lorraine, Glinda, Christine, Timothy and Simon Scott, Jr.; special friends, Lillian Davis, Mary Jackson, Rose Mac, Mildred Moore, and Lanetha Bethel; godmother, Frances Pascoe; and a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss her. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Monday, January 28th from 5:00-7:00p.m. The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Tuesday for the service.
