Homegoing service for Mrs. Katie Lee Felton of Tampa who passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015, will be held Saturday, March 7th, 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Olive AME Church, 1902 W. LaSalle St., Rev. Gregory V. Gay, Sr., pastor officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Katie was born June 6, 1927 in Ocala, Florida to the late Jake and Amelia Jacobs. She was a longtime member of Mt. Olive M.B. Church. She enjoyed cooking, listening to church music, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie L. Felton, Sr. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her children, Charlie Felton, Jr. and Charvette Felton-Williams and husband, Carlton; grandchildren, Jasmine Felton, Karneshia Moultrie, Jalen Williams and Jordan Williams; brothers, Caldwell Melvin, Moses Jacobs and wife, Althea, Rudolph Jacobs, Cornell Jacobs and Issac Jacobs; sisters, Mary Lou Lynum, Mildred Gaither, Almeta Williams, Loretta Jacobs and Beverly Jacobs; brothers-in-law, Rollin Gaddis and wife, Mary and Elder Kennedy Watson; sister-in-law, Gloria Keaton and husband, Rudolph; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friends, Susan "Fannie" Mays, Lelia Presley and daughter, Diane, Naomi Cliatt, Arether Snelling, Aretha Hicks and Florine Griggs. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
