A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Katie Bell Skipper Walker of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017 will be held Saturday, February 18th, 11:00 a.m. at Cathedral of Faith Church, 6304 N. 30th St., Apostle James H. Howell, pastor, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Katie Bell Skipper Walker was born June 24, 1941 to the late John C. Skipper and Rushie Skipper in Eufaula, Alabama. She was a school teacher's aide and in her spare time, she enjoyed sewing and cooking. She was a member of Cathedral of Faith Church and served on the usher board. Katie was preceded in death by her sisters, Lizzie Skipper, Ida Skipper and Ruby Skipper.She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her nieces, Aisha Burks and Londyn Toliver; nephew, Phillip Toliver; goddaughter, Rhonda Harris -Yearwood; a host of other cousins, relatives and church family. The visitation will be held at the church on Friday, February 17th from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
