Kellyann was born on December 12, 1982 in Trinidad and Tobago to Alloy Hing and Marlene Owens. She was very family oriented and devoted to her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her uncles, Roberto (Lenor), Wallace, and Ronald Syder; cousin, Olander Syder; and grandmothers, Predencia Syder and Rosalyn "Winnie".
