A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Kennard B. Thompson of Temple Terrace, Florida who passed away on August 24, 2021, will be held on September 4th, 12:00 p.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Ave, Tampa, Florida 33610. Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. Kennard was born December 31, 1954, to James Henry and Betty J. Thompson. He loved sports, dancing, watching movies, and spending time with his grandson and family. He worked at Southern Pan Construction for many years until he retired.
He was preceded in death by his parents and uncle, James Newton. He leaves to mourn his passing; a loving and devoted wife Patricia Thompson; children, Thurman Moore III and like a daughter, Shannon Harris; grandchildren, Jamel Moore and Rasheedah Mount; brothers, Robert Thompson of Rochester, NY., Dewayne Thompson of Rochester, NY., Darrell Jackson of Rochester, NY., David Henry of Rochester, NY., and James Henry Jr. of Tampa, Fl; sisters, Barbara Thompson of Tampa, FL., Cheryl Woody of Rochester, NY., and Elizabeth Henry of Rochester, NY.; aunts, Connie Newton and Lula Lewis; nieces, Kenisha White, Sheer Woody, Dominic Woody, Shamika Woody, Brianna Woody, Felicia Jackson, Evelyn Jackson, Sheree Jackson, Latisha Jackson, Latoya Jackson, and Shamyra Thompson; nephews, Jerome Thompson, Jessie Woody, DeAndre Hill, Curtis Walker Jr., Keith Walker, Kenneth Walker, David Henry, DeAndre Thompson, and David Henry; cousins, Jusio Dawson, Andrea Telfare, Annette Washington (Tony) and Irma Taylor; friends, Louis McCarter, Walden Green and Gerald Campbell; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The family and friends are asked to meet at Rest Haven Memorial Park for the service. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home 2708 E. Martin Luther King Blvd. Tampa, Florida on Friday, September 3rd from 4:00 8:00 p.m. We are following the CDC guidelines.
