Homegoing celebration for Mr. Kenenth Garfield Underwood "Skip" who passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015 will be held Saturday, April 4th, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd. Rev. Richard Woodbury, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Kenneth was a member of St. James Episcopal Church. He was a musician and graduated from the Middleton class of 1962. He was preceded in death by parents, Kenneth Nurse and Sybil Underwood and daughter, Kenya Underwood. He leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories with his wife, Mary F. Underwood; children, Kenneth G. Underwood II (Shanice), Reynold A. Underwood (Latrice) and Nakisha R. Underwood (Jamal); grandchildren, Ryan Underwood (Ashley), Reyneisha Underwood, Raejean Underwood, Brittany Fredrick Jouardon Manning, Eric Allen and Vanessa Allen; great grandchildren, Jaiden Underwood, Ryan Underwood, Jr. and Ashlyn Underwood; aunts, Ruth Moore, Mary Hardison and Flora Scott; cousins, Karen Moore, Kimberly Fortson, Daryl Patrice Fortson, Benjamin Fortson, Pamela McNair, Freddie Scott and Kirk Scott; sisters-in-law, Cora Yopp, Willie Mae Johnson, Betty Burnett and Debra Clark; friend, Michelle Austin; special friends, Booker T. Washington, James Haywood, Jessie Coston, Marvin Hardy, Eva and Margaret Simmons, Dawn Frazier, Charles Thomas, Alfred Russ and Bill Edwards; and a host of other relatives and friends, The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, April 3rd from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
