Mr. Kenneth Higdon was born November 25, 1968 in Tampa to the late Amos Higdon and
Rosa Lee Austin. Brother Higdon was a member of Mount Olive M.B. Church under the
leadership of the late Dr. Reverend C.P. Epps. Growing up in Tampa he was very active
playing drums in school. Kenneth was a drum major during his senior year at Tampa Bay
Tech. He participated in the marching band, and symphonic concert. Kenneth came in
second place as the homecoming king, and was a member of the Student advisory
committee. While attending Tampa Bay Vocational Technical School he received a trade
in refrigeration and air conditioning. After graduating in 1986 he attended an electronic
school in Tampa. He was preceded in death by his father, Amos Higdon; grandparents,
James Davis, and Viola Davis; aunts, Catherine Jones, Beatrice Malone, and Dorothy
Williams; uncles, Alphonso Davis, and Lee Rogers Davis. He leaves to cherish his
memory devoted parents, Leon and Rose Austin; sister, Lenshawn (Levester) Jones, and
niece, Alexzandria; great aunt, Annie Laura Turner and family; uncle, Ralph Malone;
cousins, Willie Jones, Jr. and family, Dwight Jones and family, Ralph Malone Jr. and
family, Alfonso Jackson and family, Miesha Davis, Iesha Davis and family, Alfonso
Davis and family of Fresno CA., Patricia Davis and family of Sacramento CA., Angela
Davis and family of Los Angeles CA.; and a host of loving relatives neighbors and

friends.
