A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Kenneth Rivers of Tampa, Florida passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2017 will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 2:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King. Jr. Blvd, Minister Fella Stewart, officiating. The interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. Kenneth was in the United States Air Force for 28 years and retired as a Senior Master Sargent (SMGT). Kenneth spent his years after the Air Force working with Civil Service. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Maddie Rivers and Harvey and Idella Williams; daughters, Pamela Rivers and Karen Rivers. Kenneth will be remembered as a hard working loving husband, father and grandfather. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Hilda Rivers; daughters, Helen Rivers and Hilda Dixon and her husband, Damon; adored grandchildren, Alivia and Kenneth; sisters, Miriam, Alfreda, Vandelin and many nieces and nephews. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, January 5th from 5 to 7 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
