Homegoing services for Mr. Kevin Fountain of Tampa who passed away on Monday, February 9, 2015, while a patient at Tampa General Hospital. He answered the Master's call and journeyed from this earthly life to be with Jesus Christ. The service will be held on Saturday, February 21st, 2:00 p.m., at Peace Progressive M.B. Church, 2607 E. 24th Ave., Rev. Albert Gallmon, Jr., pastor officiating. Kevin was born on January 12, 1960 in Dover, DE to the late Clarence and Julia Fountain. He was educated in the public school system of Dover DE. Eventually, his family relocated to Tampa, Florida, at which time they joined Peace Progressive Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend W .F. Leonard. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Peace Progressive Missionary Baptist Church. He was employed at Florida State Fair Grounds. At the time of his passing he was a faithful and dutiful member of Peace Missionary Baptist Church of Tampa, FL. Kevin was married to Carol Johnson-Fountain. He was a loving husband and father. He will be remembered for his willingness to help others and his great sense of humor. Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Julia Fountain and his sister, Debbie Gillis. Kevin is survived by his loving wife, Carol Johnson-Fountain; 3 sons, DMetrics Harris, Darius Harris and Robert Taylor; 2 daughters, DMia Harris and Brittney Harris; sister, Darlene (Terry) Cherry; brother, Michael (Ella) Wynn, Dover, DE; aunt, Marion Williams; cousin, Arthur (Sonya) Williams; special friend, Essie Reese; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The visitation will be held at Peace Progressive M.B. Church from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church for the service on Saturday for the service.
