Larry was born September 29, 1959, Tampa, Florida, to the late James Bogan, Sr. and Emma L. McNish Bogan-Williams. While growing up in Tampa, he attended Hillsborough County Public School. Larry loved attending church while dressed to impress wearing his suits, hats, and Stacey Adams shoes. He also enjoyed singing and dancing.

He was preceded in death by his parents James Bogan, Sr., and Emma L. McNish Bogan-Williams; grandparents, Benjamin and Queen McNish Louis, and Moses Bogan; siblings, Joseph, Russell, Willie, George, Henry, Frank Bogan, James Bogan Jr., Hazel Leath, Gloria, Geraldine and Gloria A. Bogan.

He leaves to cherish his memories his daughters, Shawdreka, Shaneka, Monique, Nicole, Latonya and Latoya Bogan; son, Larry Bogan, Jr.; brother, Gerald Bogan; devoted sister, Bettie Bogan Viverette (Edward); nieces, Sharlene, Sabrina Viverette, Sherria Lewis (Ronald), Jacqueline Franklin, Shante Dumas, Eboni Bogan, and Anita Riley (Michael); nephews, Henry Bogan, Jr. Willie Leath, Jr., Jeffrey Viverette, Sr., Robert Guia, Jr. (Trina), Earl McKinley, Jr., Javin, Traveon, Daniel Bogan, Anthony Leith; cousin, Eddie Mitchell (Harry); and a host of other family and friends.
