Larry was born on September 27, 1955, to Larry Sr. and Bernice Brown. He was a 1974 graduate of Plant High School, and was a 17-year veteran, serving actively in the U.S. Army followed by the Army National Guard. He retired from Hillsborough County Schools after many years of dedicated service as head custodian at Dunbar Elementary, Franklin Middle, and Blake High schools. He was a godly man, as shown by his membership in Nassau Street Church of Christ. Larry was a hardworking and caring man whose passion was building and constructing. In his younger years, he was a wiz at playing chess and could take on two opponents at the same time.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry Brown Sr. and Bernice Smith; daughter, Eugenia Brown-Durante; brother, Alonzo Howard; and niece, Shawntae T. Beckham.

He leaves to cherish his memory with his devoted wife of 46 years, Agnita; son, Christopher Brown; daughter, LeCrystal Williams (Mark); sisters, Cecelia Albury (Bernard) and Terry McCrea (Eddie); brother, Cedric Brown; grandsons, Tyree, Mark Jr., Joseph, and Josiah; nephews and nieces, Maurice Howard, Donte Beckham, Edmond McCrea, Ebony Baham, Carina McCrea, Kierra Brown; mother-in-law, Lucia Combie; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Special people in his life include: Sylvia Johnson, Greg Currington, Ronald Black, Robert Alexander, Lawrence Thompson, as well as the Combie family.
