Homegoing services for Mr. Larry Fowler, Sr., "Pool Man" of Tampa, who passed away, Wednesday, February 20, 2013, will be held Saturday, March 2nd, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Quantai T. Washington, officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Larry Fowler was born October 16, 1948 in Tampa, Florida to the late Carranza and Rosa Lee Fowler. Larry attended the schools of Hillsborough County and graduated from H.W. Blake High School, class of 1966. Mr. Fowler retired in 2008 from the Florida Pool Finishing Company, where he worked for many years as a pool plaster. Larry enjoyed watching horror and vampire movies, reading comic books, watching sports and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Larry Fowler, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memories: a life long companion, Gloria Fowler; 3 sons, David Darns and wife, Tanya, Maurice Fowler and wife, Tammy and Larry Fowler III and wife, Laquanda; 2 daughters, Wendolyn Bradford and Gwendolyn Thompson; grandchildren, Keion Darns, Jamie Duncan, Brittany Thompson, Maurice Fowler II, Datavia Bradford, LaSandra Fowler, Darielle Darns, Tia Thompson, Larry Fowler IV, Marquise, La'Rie, LaJuan and Laryssa Fowler, Mia McCray and Zha-ne Judge; 3 great grandchildren, MaKayla Richardson, Makyira Darns and Alaya Richardson; brothers, Roosevelt Fowler and wife, Alzada and Wayne Fowler; sisters, Theresa F. McClinton and Rhonda Fowler; aunt, Tessie Lee Floyd of Brewton, AL; nieces, Sonya Fowler, Tiffany Fowler and Shaikara Adams; nephews, Mark Fowler and wife, Florence and Mark Fowler II; grandnephew, Clarence Fowler; grandnieces, Alana Fowler and Arial Smith; a host of sorrowing cousins and other relatives; friends, Tom Harris and Julius Walton. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home Friday, March 1st, from 5 to 8 p.m. The friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the funeral ceremony.
