Homegoing services for Mr. Larry Lamar Thompson of Tampa, who passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2013, will be held on Saturday, June 22nd, 2:00 p.m. at New Birth M.B. Church 4618 N. Florida Avenue, with Pastor HD McFadden, Sr., officiating. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. Mr. Larry Lamar Thompson was born on March 21, 1947 in Donalsonville, Georgia to the late Mr. Nathaniel Thompson, Sr. and Mrs. Clotee Wallace. Mr. Thompson. He was a member of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and horses. Larry was preceded in death by his father, Nathaniel Thompson, Sr. and grandmothers, Sernella Whatley and Annie Davis "Grandma Jetta. He leaves to cherish his memory with his loving mother, Mrs. Clote Wallace son; Ronald "Gruber" Thompson, daughter, Tameka Thompson; grandchildren, Grant Campbell, Lasheka Ingram, Rondrick Cooper, Shambray Peoples and Demario Peoples; great grandchildren, Jamari Valentine, Tramarviance Baker and Maniyah Ingram; brothers, Watson Thompson, Sr. (Effie), Nathaniel Thompson, Sr., (Catherine) Aaron Thompson (Wendy) and Dewey Thompson (Lora) , Sr.; sister, Marvene (friend, Albert) "Morris" Thompson; aunt, Ruby Dell-Peterson; uncle, Mr. George Peterson, Sr.; niece, Carla Thompson; nephew, Ronald Thompson, Sr., (Nicki) ; cousin, Georgia Mae Peterson, Sylvia Peterson, Wanda Peterson Cash, George Peterson, Jr., Kenny Peterson, Larnell Peterson and Lola Mae Walker; great-nieces, Tina Thompson, LaRhonda Thompson, Paris Williams, Asia Williams, India Champion and Ireland Troupe; great-nephew, Ronald Thompson, Jr.; great-great nephew, Jenaro Faison, Jr.; god sister, Delores Hester; god nieces, Nicole Bell and Twanda Evans and best friend, Curtis Chambers; and a host of other relatives and friends. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, June 21st, from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
