Mr. LaRue Dorsey III was born on January 20, 1979, in Tampa, Florida. He was a man known for his humor, his big heart, and the deep love he carried for his family—especially his mother. LaRue also adored his dogs and was blessed with many lifelong friends who cherished his generosity and joyful spirit. LaRue's favorite pastimes included fishing and barbequing, activities that brought him peace and allowed him to share good times and good food with those he loved.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Dorsey; his aunt, Gwendolyn Rich; and his uncle, Steffan Dorsey.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved daughter, Jendayi Dorsey of Tampa, FL; father, Dea. LaRue Dorsey, Jr. (Darlene) of Ocala, FL; brother, Kenneth Johnson of Tampa, FL; stepbrother, Wardell Harrod (Roshonda) of Chicago, IL; stepsister, Yolanda George (Willie) of Chicago, IL, and Zenovia Caines (Dexter) of Tampa, FL; aunts, Tonya Connors (Rick), Daisy Weeks, Christie Dorsey, and Maselia Blisset (Carl); and special
friend, Lisa Paris; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
