Mrs. LaShon Y. Wilkins, a beloved wife, daughter, mother, family member and friend, was born on May 31, 1964, in Tampa, Florida. She grew up in the Tampa community and graduated from Leto High School. Later in life, she went on to continue her education at Hillsborough Community College, where she proudly earned her associate degree. Dedicated and hardworking, LaShon spent many years serving her community through her work with the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners. LaShon was a devoted member of ARISE Church in Brandon, Florida, where her faith, joy, and love for praise and worship shone brightly. She had a beautiful spirit and a personality full of warmth—generosity, confidence, loving, strong, funny, and unwaveringly faith-filled. She enjoyed many of life's simple and meaningful pleasures; the color yellow, singing praise and worship songs, flowers, reading, and spending cherished time with family. She delighted in watching figure skating, The Young & The Restless, Beyond the Gates, Downton Abbey, Friends, and her favorite game shows. Traveling, cruising and working out brought her joy and adventure. LaShon's legacy is captured not only in the love she shared but also in the unforgettable words she often spoke: "I know one thing and two more after that." Her humor, her strength, and her unwavering light will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her uncles, Willie Melton and Lycurgus Patrick.

She leaves cherished memories to her husband, Michael Wilkins; parents, Homer, Jr. and Marvene Patrick; son, Donnell Patrick; daughters, Shambra Patrick (Nicholas) and Dana Patrick-Young; bonus daughters, Juana Bethel and Lois Levy; grandchildren, Chiyra Gary, Donte Gary (Jemaria), JaLexia White, Donnell Patrick, Jr., Kahni Young-Douglas, Nevaeh Patrick, Naliyah Patrick and Narielle Patrick; brother, Homer T. Patrick III (Annie); sisters, LaVon Williams, Dione Neal (Arthur) and Tanya Patrick; nieces, Janaka Turner, Sharniece Smith (Terry), KaShari Patrick, Kyla Neal and Zariyah Patrick; nephew, Jarrell Patrick; grandnieces and grandnephews, Chymiriah McFadden, Mario Forte, Jr., Keniyah Bailey, Janesia Forte, and KaTai Harrigan; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends.
