Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Lee Jay Branch-Jones of Tampa, Florida who passed away Friday, July 24, 2015, will be held Saturday, August 1, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at Grace Mary M.B. Church, 3901 N. 37th Street, Pastor Thomas J. Reed with Elder James Reed, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Lee Jay Branch-Jones was born in Statesboro, GA to the late Lester and Lizzie Mae Branch. He was educated in Statesboro, Georgia and moved to Tampa, Florida in 1954 where he met and married his beloved wife, Cynthia Josey Maddox. He was a faithful employee for Olin Mott Tire Company for over 30 years where he retired, after retirement he decided to continue his occupation with Florida Dairy Milk Company. His passion was singing, fishing, hunting and socializing with his longtime friends. Lee Jay was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cynthia Jones; 3 sisters, Sylvie Mae Jones-Johnson, Elizabeth Rawls and Mary Alice Branch; 2 brothers, Levon Rawls and Tony Branch. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his step-mother, Frances Branch; 2 sons, Darrell Lee Jones (Sharon) and Kenneth Wayne Jones (Roberta); 2 daughters, Pamela Mack (Bobby) and Karen Reeves; 5 brothers, AL Rawls (Carolyn) Spartanburg, GA, Larry Rawls, Claxton, GA, Lester Branch, Jr. (Janet) Milen, GA, Horace Branch, Augusta, GA, Jimmy Branch of Twin City, GA, James McCoy, Garfield, GA; like a son, Marlvin Lyles; 8 sisters, Ruby Tolliver (Willie) Dothan, AL, Bobbi Little (Paul) August GA, Dr. Joyce Hatcher (Harold) of Macon, GA, Vernita Harms (Paul), Warner Robins, GA, Lavern Bady, Debra Williams and Virginia McAllister, Twin City, GA, Mary D. Branch, Perry, GA; like a daughter and sister-in-law, Natalie Siegler; 12 grandchildren, Carlette Allen, Yuclemia Hayes Ware (Warren) Carl Jones (Tianna), Darrell Jones, Jr. (Cheree), Olga Jones, Jimmy Davis, Jr. (Jamela), Danielle Jones, Kenneth Wayne Jones, Jr. (Kim), Cynthia Davis, Dominique Jones, Colony Reeves and Candice Reeves; 13 great grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends; The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, July 31st from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
