A Homegoing Service for Mr. Lennox Staton Young of Tampa, Florida who passed away on October 24, 2021 will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 5th, at Aikens Funeral Home 2708 E. Martin Luther King Blvd., Mr. Javan Young II, officiating.

Lennox was born June 5, 1940 in Guyana to Rupert and Ismay Young. Lennox was one of 8 siblings and he enjoyed tinkering, reading, napping, watching the news and good conversation. Lennox attended and graduated high school in Guyana and met his wife; they were soon with child and looked to expand their life. He moved to Florida in the 80's, using the money he made working on the boats in America. He sent money home to his wife, child and family. It would be a while before the whole family could move but with hard work and determination, they pulled it off. Living in America he would learn new things and adapt to his new found life. As a mechanic he worked until his retirement in 2005. In his golden years he was known best for his great advice, sense of humor, his repairing skills and most of all his knowledge. He was a humble and quiet soul that will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Young; his parents; two brothers Gordon and Gregory; step siblings, Roy and Marjorie. He leaves to cherish his memory with his son, Javan Young; grandchildren, Javan Young II and Leighann Young; great grandson, Apollo Gonzalez; brothers, Rupert, Michael, Douglas and Reggie; sisters, Joan, Eleanor, Maureen, Yvette, Dawn; special thanks to Ivy, Jenny and Mr. Anderson for always checking in on Lenny and keeping him in high spirits.

The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home Friday, November 5th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel. We are following the CDC guidelines.
