Leola, affectionately nicknamed, "Granny" was born on December 28, 1938 in Silas, Alabama to Charlie and Mary Philon. Leola enjoyed gardening, singing, having conversations, and meeting new people. She also liked walking and basking in the hot sun. She touched many hearts throughout the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She leaves precious memories with her children, Altamese Quaterman (Clarence), Dr. Marvin Lee III, Felicia Primus (Robert), Falencia Knox, Frederick Lee (Evangeline) and Marquitta Lee; grandchildren, Duvern Primus (Simone), Quiara Primus, Clarence Quarterman Jr. (Shanee), Elyse Quarterman, Lauren Quarterman, Cecile Knox, Elyse Knox, Adante Knox, Virgil Knox Jr. and Omari Knox, Andrew Lee (Karin), Brian Lee (Laura), Kathyryn Lee, Eboni Lee, Desirae Lee, Audrey Lee and Frederick Lee, Jr.; brother, Robert Lee Philon, Sr.; nieces, Roshirley Soloman and Jean Philon; nephews, Paul and Anthony Philon; a host of great-grandchildren; a host of cousins to include, Agnes Tate, Claudia Spillings and Juanita Mitchell; a host of neighbors, "31st Avenue Crew"; best friend, Emma Simon; and church family, Anointing Christian Fellowship.
