Mrs. Leola McGill-Wallace, a beloved daughter, sister, mother grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025, at age 85. Born on January 7, 1940, in Albany, Georgia, Leola was the daughter of the late Washington Wallace and Catherine (Elise) Wallace. She was raised in Tampa, Florida, where she grew up. Leola was the proud mother of her late daughter, Charlene Wallace, who preceded her in death. She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren Mitzi Wallace, Michelle Henry, and Anthony Pritchett, who brought her great joy.

Leola's legacy lives on through her five great-grandchildren, Courtney Torres, Marie Henry, Aubrey Gabriel, Patrice Henry, Christopher Comer, and her two great-great-grandchildren, Chase Torres and Christopher Henry. Leola was preceded in death by her siblings, Eugene Wallace, Jimmy Wallace, Lilie Bell Bivens, Lizzy Jones, Delorris Scott, Evelyn Carter, and Berry Wallace. She is survived by her sister, Ruthan Brandon, who will carry forward the memories of their shared upbringing. She leaves behind a legacy of love, perseverance, and family that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. Leola's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her family would like to thank all those who offered their love and support during her life.
