A Homegoing visitation for Mr. Leonard Mays, Jr. of 2610 E. 25th Avenue, Tampa, who passed away, Wednesday, October 13, 2010, will be held Friday, October 22nd, from 5-8 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. Leonard was born May 3, 1936, in Tampa, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, Blanche Mays and Leonard Mays, Sr.; brothers, Thomas Mays, Leroy Mays and Clyde Mays; sister, Thelma Carswell and nephew, Leroy Mitchell, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memories, son, Leonard Mays III; step-daughters, Sandra, Brenda and Connie; a host of grandchildren; a host of great-great grandchildren; sisters, Beatrice Wright (Robert), Oreatha Wright, Helen Hall and Annie Mae Byrd; nieces, Bernice Hodgins (Edward), Catherine House, Gloria McCoy (Charles), Lavern Faulk (Calvin), Deborah Wright, and Linda Wright; nephews, Rudolph Stroud (Deborah), Anthony Wright (Adrienne), Glen Wright (Donna); Gregory Wright and Horatio Wright; special friends, Betty and Gable; and a host of other relatives and friends.
