A homegoing celebration for Mr. Leonard Charles Larry, Jr. of Tampa, who passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016 will be held Saturday, July 23rd, 11:00 a.m. at Greater New Salem P.B. Church, 1605 N. Nebraska Ave., Elder Leland Johnson, officiating. The interment will be in Florida National Cemetery. Leonard was born in Marianna, Florida on October 28, 1951 to the late Lewis Charles Larry and Willie Nell Gray. Leonard graduated from King High School and was a United States Navy Veteran. He was preceded in death by his father Lewis Charles Larry. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his children, son, Lavaris C. Larry (Nidta Mazard); daughter, Delfina Larry, all of Tampa, Florida; mother, Willie Nell Gray, Tampa, Florida; grandchildren, Jaylah Whittaker, Richard Ousley, Monica Ousley, Theaddeus Bowers, Trinity Bowers and Jasmine Mazard-Larry, all of Tampa, Florida; uncles, James Brock, Jr. and Alphonso Brock (Linda), all of Tampa, Florida; aunts, Maeonia Taylor, Elouise Colston, Tampa, Florida; Clevenell Cotton (Joe), Marianna, Florida, Vornice Spires of Cottondale, Florida; Annie Mae Larry of Port St. Joe, Florida, Sellie Williams and Annie Belle Sorey of Campbellton, Florida; like a brother, Frederick Proter, of Tampa, Florida; god sisters, Josephine Everette and Sharon Haywood, both of Tampa, Florida; a host of cousins and other family members, numerous friends of North View Hills. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, July 22nd from 5:00 to 8:00p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
