A graveside service for Mr. Leroy Brim, Sr. of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018, 11:30 a.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, Elders Thomas and Lavaugnda Frazier, officiating. Leroy was born on December 2, 1938 in Jackson, Mississippi to the late Ollie Brim, Jr. and Julie Mae Spurlock. He was one of first African American owned businesses in West Tampa that opened in 1960. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Brim, daughter, Diane Brim and granddaughter, Tara Brim. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his wife, Gloria Brim; children, Leroy, Jr., Johnny Lee, Delbra LaShawn, Michael Troy, Tammy Isabella, Tony, Twanda, Tonya, Carl, Christopher and Diane Brim; grandchildren, Laroy P., Auriel, Alta, Johnny, Jr, Andrea, Tara and Tamisha Brim, Jawaun Jackson, Keith Cobb and Rashawnda Cobb; sisters, Doris Brim and Mae Belle Brim; nieces, Linda Grier, Peggy Brim-Daniels, Julie Brown, Carol Brown, Cathie Knott, Felicia Brown and Emily Brown; nephews, David Brim, Jo Freeman Brown-Dean, Willie Brown, Theodore Brown and George Brown and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Saturday, February 17th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery on Saturday for the service.
