Mrs. Letha G. Thompson was born to father, Elijah Taylor, and mother, Nancy Irene Skipper on June 12, 1932, in Henry County, Abbeville, Alabama. She was educated in Henry County Public Schools. She was married to James Thompson for 41 years. Mrs. Thompson was employed for 25 years by Altamont Schools, where she retired from in Birmingham, Alabama. On Monday, April 26, 2021, God found it best to call her home. She was a faithful member of Macedonia 17thStreet Baptist Church for 35 years, Rev. Hunter, pastor. She then later moved to Tampa, Florida where she joined First Union Baptist Church, Rev. B.E. Harmon, pastor. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, James Thompson.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her son, Ronald Bruce (Elaine); daughters, Cherry Hill (Zachery), Linda Hopson, and Sherin Knight all of Tampa, Florida; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Tom Taylor (Jennette) of Tampa, Florida; sister, Morbieree McCray of Bakerhill, Alabama; and a host of other family and friends.
