LeVita was born on March 11, 1965 in Tampa, Florida to Levi and Angerline Jackson. "Ms. Vita" devoted over 42 years in the community as a mentor, coach, mother, and grandmother. She was an inspiration to our youth, known as the "take no nonsense", "point your toes", and "cheer from your diaphragm" to her girls.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Levi and Angerline Jackson, and former husband, Michael Jenrette, Sr.

She leaves precious memories with children, Angelena Jackson and Joshua, Michael Jr., LeRia, and MyeKayla Jenrette; grandchildren, MyChyria and Jeremiah; brother, Vincent Jackson, Sr.; sisters, YeVette Governor (Vincent), Sheila Jackson-Thomas (Wayne), Monica Jackson, Lisa McCray, and Crystal Jackson; aunts, Gwendolyn Border, Maureen K. Hayes (Eddie), Amanda "Tex" Pittman (Cullen); uncle, Ervin Swails (Gloria); nieces Darian, Kennisha, Nyeliah (Fav), and Meia; nephews, Vincent Governor, Vincent Jackson, Jonathan, and Levi; cousins, LaTralle, Samuel, Aaron, Jacoria, Bria, Auryel, Aaron II, Andrew, and Bryce; and special friend, Darryl Hunter.
