Glen was born September 19, 1949, in Monticello, Florida. He passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Memorial Hospital. He was one of twelve children born to the late David and Laura Williams. Glen received his education in the public schools of Jefferson County, Florida. He retired from Hillsborough County Public School Board Transportation Services after 39 years of service as a bus driver in Area 3. He was formerly employed at the Tampa Dog Track for many years. Glen loved working at Aikens Funeral Home and was a dedicated employee for 32 years. Brother Glen was a faithful member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church (MBC) and a dedicated member of Usher Board #1. He regularly attended prayer meetings and bible study and assisted others in whatever manner needed.
Watching football was an active hobby of his and above all he LOVED the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His signature clothing style was long socks with 2 color stripes up to his knees and his little shorts. He was also known to have a dance or two on top of a table. Most people have a favorite home-cooked meal that they prefer but Glen always preferred McDonalds; he would choose McDonalds for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Laura Williams; 3 brothers, James Bellamy, Clarence Williams, and Freddie Williams; 4 sisters, Dorothy Green, Nellie Akins, Louise Williams, and Mary Francis Montgomery.
In his passing he leaves: 1 daughter, Arneatra McMillan (Eddie), of Tampa, FL; 3 grandchildren, Temika Lewis, James Williams, and Katrina Miller, all of Tampa, FL; 3 great-grandchildren, Calvin Whaley, Jr., Jeremiah Williams, Ermias Williams, all of Tampa, FL; fiance, Gladys Cousin of Tampa, FL; 1 brother, David Williams, Jr., (Loretta) of Tampa, FL; sisters, Doretha Williams of Tampa, FL, and Mary Gunner and Josephine Parker both of Rochester, NY. He has a host of special people in his life including but not limited to nieces, nephews, and other relatives. We know he loved everybody and if anyone was left out, please charge it to our heads and not our hearts.
