"Tito" was born on December 15, 1948, in the Philippines, to Libertad Ocampo and Jose Cuaresma. Retiring in Florida with the rank of Major, Libertador proudly served for the United States Air Force since first enlisting in Chicago, Illinois in 1975. His favorite activities included traveling, gardening, eclectic cooking, tennis, chess, and playing mahjongg late into the evenings with family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josefina Cuaresma; brothers-in-law, Pete Bodino and Jim Tomaka; and, also, sister-in-law, Connie Cuaresma.

In 1970, he met his wife Josefina E. Legaspi, in the Philippines, while both were applying to go to Ethiopia to be welcomed as teachers of which a year later they became the first Filipino couple married in their host nation. Their union brought forth their first two children - Jayel & Josef - being born in Ethiopia, then, upon migrating to the United States, two more children - Jobee & Jessellee..., Additionally, later, arrived seven wonderful grandchildren -- Eljay, AzureJay, RavenLee, RiverMaya, Jet, Jarin, and Jai.

..., accompanied with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends from many, many different countries from all around the world, often, he would decree with delight, " I belong to a family of united nations."
