A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Lillie Mae Black 'Bay Honey' of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Tuesday February 27, 2018 will be held Saturday, March 10th, 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of College Hill, 3838 N. 29th St., Rev. S. Evan Burrows, pastor; Elder Willis Crum, Jr., officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Lillie Mae Black attended school in Prattville, Alabama before relocating to Thonotosassa, FL. Employment includes domestic work for Sheraton hotel in Tampa for over 20 years, server at popular venues in Ybor City including the Cuban Cafe on 7th Avenue. Lillie Mae Black was a longtime member of Greater Mt. Moriah Primitive Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading her bible and listening to good old-fashion gospel hymns. Lillie Mae Black was a fashionista in her day and was known for her beautiful smile and fun-spirited disposition. She enjoyed fashions, dressing up, make up and going to the movies and beaches. When she retired from the domestic industry, she enjoyed being a homemaker, cooking, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and helping others and praising God for His grace and mercy. She was a cheerful person, full of life and fun, and always put a smile on a face. She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Tom and Lillie Howard Stewart; siblings, Luvenia Stewart Alexander, Mack and Lewis Stewart. She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her daughters, Janet B. Smith, Darlene B. Paulk (James) and Kay Black-Crum; grandchildren, Leroy Wilson, Jr. of Lakeland, FL, Navarra Jackson, Marice M. Wilson, Hebert Baker, Jr. (Wanda), Jermaine Crum (Brenda), Tameka Suttle (Marcus, Jr.) and Selina Crum; great-grandchildren, Tiana Wilson, Ymani K. Wilson of Lakeland, FL, Naji Baker, Marice M. Wilson, Jr. Marquis Suttle and Isaiah Baker; great-great grand, Maurvion Bruce; sister, Cottie Mae Stewart-Starks of Thonotosassa, FL; a host of step-children, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, friends and other relatives.; devoted lifelong friends and neighbors, Michael Boone, Mrs. Williams, Shirlain Hicks, G. Sweet, James Black, and many more. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, March 9th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
