Obituary

A homegoing celebration for Mother Lillie Mae Johnson of Tampa who passed away, Friday, December 21, 2018, will be held Saturday, December 29th, 11:00 a.m. at Northside M.B. Church, 5706 N. 40th Street, Pastor Ricardo Robinson, eulogist with Rev. Leonard Harrington, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mother Lillie Mae was preceded in death by her mother, Ireta; father, Vince and four brothers, W.T; Harvey; Freddie and Floyd Watson. Mother Lillie Mae was a faithful member of Northside for over 40 years where she served faithfully in the choir for many years. Mother Lillie Mae was a wonderful mother who loved taking care of all her family and truly lived the life of a Proverbs 31 woman. She was married to the love of her life Mr. Edward Johnson, Sr., for 61 years and from this union there are five children. She leaves to cherish her wonderful memories: a devoted husband, Edward Johnson Sr.; Five beautiful children, Yvonne Johnson-Haggins (Alvin), Edward Johnson, Jr.; Calvin E. Johnson (Wanda), Lillie Johnson-Taylor (Paul) and Tina Johnson-Smith; her oldest brother, Jerry Lee Watson (Doll); loving grandchildren, Calvin Jr., Calvina, AJ, Lillie, Vinnie, Alex, Muriah, Muranda, Tina, Paul, Jr., and Ireta; precious great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Micah, Anquon, T'Ciana, Makayala, Murry III, Heavyn, Niyah, and Frankie Lee III; special god-daughters, Min. Erica Harrington, Sis. Marilyn Rivers, Charlotte Wilson, Debbie Phelps, Sharon Satterwhite-Anderson; and a special sister, Asleen Griffin; special sister-in-law, Sis. Vera Phillips; special aunt, Geneva Hollinger; special cousin, Georgia Sole; special nephew, Rev. Larry Blackmon; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who will miss her. The visitation will be held on Friday, December 28th, at Northside M.B. Church, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family will be present to greet friends. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the funeral ceremony.
