Lillie P.
Whitehead
August 22, 1951 – April 1, 2025
Ms. Lillie Pearl Whitehead was born on August 22, 1951, to the late David and Fannie Mae Whitehead in Leslie, Georgia. She made Tampa, Florida her home in 1963 and was a proud graduate of Hillsborough High School, Class of 1969. In 1973, she earned a degree in Mathematics from Tennessee State University. Pearl accepted Christ as her Savior early in life and carried her faith with grace and strength throughout her journey. She was a beacon of love and inspiration—a devoted daughter and a mother whose love for her only child was immeasurable. Pearl's nurturing spirit extended to her role as a grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Her elegance, compassion, and distinctive sense of style left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, David and Fannie Mae Whitehead, and her son-in-law, Shaun Earl Williams. Pearl's legacy lives on through the hearts of her only cherished daughter, Gretchen Kea-Williams, and her only treasured granddaughter, Londyn Sanai Williams.
She is also survived by her loving sister, Frances (Joe) Whitehead-Mitchell, and brother, David Whitehead; her dear aunt, Mildred Newsome; uncles, Paul and Frank Whitehead; nephew, Joseph (Angela) Mitchell; nieces, Marissa Whitehead; great-nieces and nephew, Ty'Lyan Sarvis, Joci Mitchell, and Aielle Mitchell. She held a special bond with her cousins Otella Edwards, Juanita Simmons, and Diana Roberts, along with a host of other loving relatives and friends from the Newsome, Johnson, Nelson, and Whitehead families. Pearl's legacy is one of love, encouragement, and timeless beauty. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
