Ms. Linda Bridgette Collins was born on September 17, 1960 in Tampa, Florida. God called her home on March 4, 2014. She was the daughter of Lavern Collins and Eddie Brooks Collins, Sr. She was educated in New York and found her calling in nursing. She was a CNA for 30 years and was so loving and caring for all she cared for. Linda also enjoyed gardening. She was a mother of two beautiful children. She was highly blessed and favored by Almighty God who blessed her with six loving adorable grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She was a high spirited being and she loved God and her family and friends. She surrendered her life over to God and was baptized at Grace Mary Baptist Church and fellowshipped with Revival Ministries International and the River at Tampa Church. She will be forever cherished and loved by all who knew her. Linda also enjoyed gardening. She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie B. Collins, Sr. and brother, Eddie B. Collins. She leaves to cherish her memories with children, Shakeima S. Simmons and husband, Chaz E. Simmons, Sr., and Kaheem Edward Brooks Collins Jr.; grandchildren, Mykel T. Whaley, Chaz E. Simmons, Jr., Sydney S. Simmons, Summer S. Simmons, Sky S. Simmons and Chase E. Simmons; brother, Derrick Norton; sister, Debra Norton; aunts, Vivian Guzman and Doris Bryant; nieces, Unique Norton, Janae Markes and Ja'Tia Markes; nephews, Jamel Markes, Stoel Markes, Troy Collins, Marquise Norton and Derrick Norton, Jr.; close friends, Jackie Mickens, Natalie Seagal and Doria Moore; and a host of other relatives and friends.
