Linda
Yeoman
December 30, 1960 – September 4, 2021
A Homegoing Service for Ms. Linda Yeoman of Tampa, Florida who passed away on September 4, 2021, will be held on Friday, September 17th at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of College Hill, 3838 N. 29th St, Tampa, Florida 33610. Rev S. Evans Burrows officiating. The interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Linda was born December 30, 1960, to Timothy and Helen Yeoman. Her hobbies included exploring family history and genealogy, reading, and enjoying music. Linda spent the early part of her childhood raised in Sulphur Springs. She graduated from King High School and as a young woman gave birth to her only child, Anthony. She dedicated a large part of her adult life to being an excellent mother who ensured her child was provided for and greatly loved. While raising a child and working, she obtained two undergraduate degrees, in advertising and accounting, from the University of South Florida. Once her son established himself and began a family of his own, Linda focused on helping others by being a leader and mentor in her workplace and by loving (and spoiling) her two grandchildren, Carrie and Jackson. Anyone who ever leaned on Linda for comfort knew that she was a steadfast friend, advisor, and confidante. She could tell you what you needed to hear, but in a way that showed you that she cared. She had an impact on everyone she encountered and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters; Dr. Carolyn Ellis, Joyce Deering; brothers, Rev. Donald Yeoman, Patrick Yeoman. She leaves to cherish her memory; son, Anthony Yeoman (Chrystal); grandchildren; Carrie Yeoman, Jackson Yeoman; brothers, Cornell Yeoman, Marvin Yeoman; nieces, Tara Yeoman, Almi Yeoman, Angela Yeoman, Deanna Yeoman Rolle, Jennifer Alvarado, Alicia Deering, Alyssa Yeoman, Andrea Deering; nephews, Christopher Williams, Donald Williams, Timothy Yeoman, Aaron Yeoman, Jeremy Deering, and Benjamin Deering; and a host of other loving family and friends.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home 2708 E. Martin Luther King Blvd. Tampa, Florida on Thursday, September 16th from 4:00 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at First Baptist Church of College Hill on Friday for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines.
