Homegoing services for Mrs. Lisa B. Sirmons of Tampa, who passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014, will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2014, 11:00 a.m., at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 3005 E. Ellicott Street, Rev. Dr. T.W. Jenkins, pastor officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Lisa Sirmons was born October 9, 1938 in Friars Point, Mississippi to the late Willie Parker and Alpertine Austin. She attended Middleton Senior High, class of 1958. Mrs. Sirmons was a faithful lifetime member at New Hope M.B. Church, where she served in the #1 choir, the usher board and the mission board. She worked at Tampa Catholic for over 20 years, after retiring she opened a card and gift shop, "Lisa Cards & Gifts" in Temple Terrace. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Willie Parker and J.C. Parker. She leaves cherished and fond memories with her son, Alvin Sirmons; sisters, Mabel Clayton (Byron), Albertine Joyner and Christine Austin; nieces, Renee Graham (Billy), Carla Murphy, Kisha Perry (Charles), Katisha Washington (Gani), Roxana Parker, Cinnamon Phillips, Ambrosia Austin and Kimberly Clayton; nephews, Calvin Murphy, Alif Austin (Tori), Jihad Franklin (Phaedra), Deleon Parker and Hondo Phillips; goddaughter, Evelyn Lewis; a host of great nieces and nephews, special friends, Sylvia Lanier (Sam), Carolyn Hill, Joe Riley (Ernestine) and Muhammed Abdul Rahman (Chola). The visitation will be held at New Hope M.B. Church on Friday, December 26th from 5 to 7 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church for the service on Saturday.
