Lloyd Sesler,
Jr.
August 11, 1934 – February 22, 2026
Lloyd Sesler Jr. was born on August 11, 1934, to the union of the late Lloyd Sr. and Luverne Sesler in the Tampa Bay area. He was born and raised in Tampa and accepted Jesus Christ at an early age, establishing a foundation of faith that would guide his life. Affectionately known as "Baby Lloyd" by family and friends, Lloyd was truly a man of many talents and strong work ethic. He worked for the City of Tampa in the Water Division Department, served as a barber, worked as a cook in local hospitals, and later became a longshoreman with Local 1402, where he faithfully served until his retirement. Lloyd believed in providing for his family and took pride in every role he held. Sunset came for Lloyd Sesler Jr. on February 22, 2026, at the age of 91 years old.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Sr. and Luverne Sesler; wife, Carolyn Sesler; children, Carol, Glenda, Lloyd III, Stephanie, and Lloyd IV; brother, Calvin; sisters, Sylvia, Norvick and Yvonne.
Lloyd leaves to cherish his precious memories sons: Christopher (Nikki), Sylvester, Gregory (Tonya) Rene (Keisha), daughters, Vanessa, Melinda (Wayne), Pamela, Alma (Calo), Gail (Felix), and Ruthie (Vernon). Luvern, Kimberly (Charles), Felecia (David), Carolyn (Clifton), Vivian (William); sister, Beverly Todd (Edward); sister-in-law, Margaret Woodie; brother-in-law, Lee Rainey; and a host of grandchildren including: Tameka, Sheryl, Sherry, Latoya, John, Bobby, Maurice, Stephanie, Lanita, Carnell, Wayne, Carol, Pamela, Christopher, Keianna, Arthur, Lowanda, Keiarra, Roshard, Chakira, Charles, Larry, Jalisa, David III, Devin, Dyson, Connethia, Keevia, Derricka, Sylvester, Demarcus, Jamyia, Jason, Zyquereion, Zykiria, Zykeveion, Zykavia, Delesia, Jazelle, Rene, Jermaine, Morris, Sharmaine, Demetrius, Calo, Albert, Camilia, Katina, Lonnye, Tenika, Felix, Michael, Costello, Conswella, Tiffany, Dione, Jessica, and Sylvester. He also leaves a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members including the Victory, Benjamins, Nortons, and Guzman families, other sorrowing relatives, dear friends, and his devoted Mason brothers. Lloyd's life was a testament to faith, hard work, family devotion, and quiet strength. His legacy will continue to live on through the generations he helped shape, guide, and love.
