Homegoing celebration for Deacon Lock Charlton, Jr. of Tampa, who passed away on Friday, March 30, 2012, will be held on Saturday, April 7th, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd, Pastor Alfred A. Colson, officiating. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Deacon Charlton was a faithful member of St. Paul M.B. Church of Tallahassee, FL. He was preceded in death by parents, Lock Charlton, Sr. and Florance Charlton; wife, Ida Mae Charlton; sisters, Lorine Charlton, Minnie Lee Wilson, Clipper Charlton and Florance Holliday; brothers, Palmer Charlton, Sr., Thomas Charlton, Edward Charlton, George Charlton, Ephen Charlton, Sr., and Columbus Brown and son-in-law, Curtis Smith. He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories children, Edner Norton and husband, Gerard, Barbara Mcgill and husband, Grady, Sandra Carey and husband, Richard, Devita Charlton, Renee and, Loraine Charlton, Ricky Charlton and Van Young, all of Youngtown, Ohio, Rosa Carney and Carolyn James both of Tallahassee, FL., and Emma Carney of Tampa, FL.; 31 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; brother, Lloyd Charlton and wife, Ruth; sister, Mattie Charlton; 6 nieces; 6 nephews; 2 sisters-in-law, Linda Brown and Willie Bee Horton; and a host of cousins. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral home on Friday, April 7th from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
