Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Lois Wynn-Weems 'Tee-Tee' of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017 will be held Saturday, May 20th, 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Moriah P.B. Church, 1225 N. Nebraska Ave., Dr. B.R. Fulton pastor, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Lois Wynn-Weems was born to the late Liddon B. Wynn, Sr. and Maude Copeland in Cottondale, Florida and attended the schools of Jackson county before moving to Tampa. On July 24, 1962, she married the late Mr. Milton Weems. She was employed as a domestic engineer as well as a child caretaker, raising 3 children. She was a faithful member of Greater Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist Church. She was also a former No. 2 choir member, former member of the mother's board, and the floral committee. Mrs. Wynn-Weems enjoyed taking care of kids and spending time with her family. She was a cheerful person; full of life and fun and she always had a smile on her face while making others smile. Although she never birthed any children, she was involved with nurturing, developing and giving motherly care to many children in her family and community. She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Liddon Wynn, Sr. and Maude Copeland; her husband, Milton Weems; siblings, Christine Powell, Liddon Wynn, Jr., Lee M. Tripp, and Zannie Wynn, and Patrick Lopez (one of the children she helped to raise). She leaves fond memories with: nephews, Alexander Wynn (Lessie), Albert Wynn (Frances) and Richard Wynn (Molly), all of Tampa, Florida and Ronald Wynn of Houston, Texas; nieces, Laura Tripp and Barbara Tripp, of Tampa, Florida; great nephews, Alexander Wynn, Jr. (Nikki), Reggie Wynn, Derrick Wynn, Trevar Mosley (Krystyn), Marcellas Derr-Tripp, and Gregory Tripp (LaMecha) and Austin Wynn; great nieces, Vanessa Poole, Krishna Wynn, Lateefah Tripp, Nicole Tripp, Courtney Timmons, Erica Tripp and Asia Mosley; step-brother, Mizell Webb (Joyce) of Cottondale, Florida; godson, Herman Floyd of Utah; goddaughters, Johnnie L. Mitchell of Alabama and ChaBreanda Coney of Tampa, Florida; sister-in-law, Linda Dean (Leonnard), of Miami, Florida; aunts, Della Bellamy, Stella Gainer and Inez White all of Marianna, Florida; devoted extended family, Judge M. Lopez and (Nancy) and children Brian Lopez and Kathleen Lopez; devoted friend, Alberta Hill and a host of cousins and other relatives. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, May 19th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and wake services will be from 6:00 to 7:00pm. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
