Obituary

Lonnie was born in Ocala, Florida, and attended schools in the Marion County Public School System. Lonnie later relocated with his parents, Jorice and Jerlean Williams to Tampa, where he attended schools in the Hillsborough Public School System. Lonnie was an avid bowler, which he later started a Black Bowling League, (Hitters and Misses), which traveled to several states. His love for the sport afforded him being named into the
United States Bowling Congress "Hall of Fame" in 2010. After being retired for several years, Lonnie worked closely with "Road Ready Travel", as a driver, a position that gave him great joy. He had a comforting demeanor leaving a lasting impact on all he met.

He was preceded in death by his son, Dwayne Smith.

Lonnie is survived by his wife of 49 years, Frances Humphrey, and nine children: Deborah Williams, Lonnie Paul Williams, Jr. (Arnetta), Alicia Daniels (Lionel), Angela Williams, Regina Williams, Jorice Williams, Tonya Smith, Tamika Williams, and Qgouni Reid; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Eleanor McGuire; and a host of nieces and nephews, and family friends. Each time we embrace a memory, we meet again with those we love, for the heart never forgets. We miss you already.
