Obituary

Homegoing celebration for Mrs. Louise Ling of 3805 Rivergrove Court, who passed away Friday, March 27, 2009, will be held Saturday, April 4th, 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 3005 E. Ellicott St., Rev. Dr. T.W. Jenkins, pastor officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Louise Ling was born March 22, 1913 in Hampton County, South Carolina and was long time resident of Tampa, Florida. She was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Louise loved cooking, baking, singing and praising the Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Ling, Sr., son, Ulysses Ling, daughter, Mary Gaines, step-daughter, Laura Shaw, parents, Asberry and Anna Bell Johnson, sister, Mary L. Jenkins, brothers, Richard Wright and Marion Johnson. She leaves to cherish her memory: son, Richard Ling, Jr. and friend, Beatrice Beal and Helen Jenkins(Roger), NY; grandchildren, Earl Ling, Richard Ling, III (Karrie), SC, Reginald Ling (Sonovia), GA and Victoria Ling, Laverne Jenkins, Will Jenkins (Evelyn), Robert Jenkins and Cora Carter (like a daughter) all of New York; great grandchildren, Richard, Reginald and Sarah N. Ling, GA, Sara L., and Keiona Ling and Al, Fuquan and Ebonie Lamont, Elisha Jenkins, Alana and Jaden Hughes, Daniel Carter, all of NY and Laura Pinkett (Dan) of NJ ; nieces, Elouise White, Anna Bell Bridgeman, Carrie M. Corbett and Willie, Bertha Vickers and Chuck, Jeanett Johnson, Annie J. Garland, Hattie Jordan, Stella Aiken, SC, Marie Duncan, SC, Minnie Ling, and Irene Snooks (Joe); nephews, Harry Ling (Myrtis), Rev. James Ling (Florence), SC, Gussie Jenkins (Linda), Robert L. Wright, GA, James Wright, GA and Tommie Edward; cousin, Clarence and Verdell Johnson; Usher Board #1, L. Powell, M. Rutland and The Senior Women and the entire New Hope M.B. Church family; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. The remains will repose at Aikens Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday evening. The funeral cortege will arrange from 3805 Rivergrove Court.
