A celebration of life service for Mrs. Louise Reed, affectionately called "Big Mama," of 3710 E. Paris Street who passed away, Sunday, November 22, 2009, will be held Saturday, November 28, 2009, at 1:30 P.M. at Twenty Ninth Street Church of Christ, of Tampa, Minister Harold Rodriguez, eulogist. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Reed was a native of Eufaula, Alabama, and was a resident of Tampa, FL, for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Reed and wife Georgia. Her parents Son and Melissa Hicks, and her brothers, Willie C. Wood, Earl Hicks, Eddie Lee Hicks, and Willie B. Hicks, sisters, Mattie Mae Turner, and Elizabeth Hicks. She is survived by her loving children, Mattie Richardson, Janie Coley- Archie (Clarence), Pastor Lena Boyd (Jerry), Carter Reed (Karen), and devoted baby girl Brenda Diane Reed, and daughter-in-law Darlene all of Tampa, FL.grandchildren, Freddie & Willie Reed, LA, Darryl Richardson (Cassandra) of Tampa, FL, Lynette Richardson, of Miami, FL; Ronald Ragan of Dallas, TX, Dee Coley, Jessie Coley, III; Jessie Stuckey Jr. (Yvette), Deborah Jones (Elder Wilfred), Jeffrey Stuckey (Jessica); Carter Jr., and Melissa Reed all of Tampa; a host of great-grands and great-great grands, loving adopted daughters Rose W. Parson and family and Billie Jean Stennett, Robin Parker and family, Ann Martin, Crystal Watson, Cynthia Anderson, Tonya Lynn, Mother Mary Colston, Mother Pat Davis, Pauline Capers, Ann Martin, Pastor. Wanda Wilson and family and Evelyn Butts and family. Best friend and neighbor Mary Taylor;brothers, Donnie Paul Hicks (Eugenia) of Tampa, FL, Cotis Hicks (Lillie Mae) of Trenton, NJ, and Albert Hicks (Ailene) of Birmingham, AL; sisters Carrie Jones of MD, Nellie Smith of Eufaula, AL; sisters-in-law Nellie Hicks and Mollie Hicks of Tampa, FL. a host of loving nieces, nephews and cousins; Prayer warriors of the Twenty Ninth Street Church of Christ, a host of loving friends and neighbors. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday evening, November 27th. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
