Ms. Lucille Denise Davis (Nita)of Tampa, Florida passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 14th at 4:00 p.m at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 East Martin Luther King Boulevard, Elder Walter Niles officiating, eulogist, Pastor Pierre FrancoisInterment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery.Ms. Lucille Davis was born July 17, 1953 in Tampa, Florida. Lucille was a lifelong resident of Tampa. She was educated by the Public Schools of Hillsborough County and employed with Hillsborough County as a student nutrition cook for 18 years. Lucille's calling and purpose in life was providing delicious meals for her family and friends. She was the life of the party and will truly be missed. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Mattie Davis; siblings, Jimmy Lee, Henry, Rita, Nathaniel, Charlene, Victor, Daniel, Jr. and Moses Davis. Cherishing her beautiful memories son: James 'Unc' Dennis (Whitney 'Pancake'); grandchildren, Ruben Eli Gonzalez and Jamie Elizabeth Dennis all of Tampa, Florida. She also leaves to mourn sisters, Catherine Norton (Clarence), Sarah Davis Hepburn and Veronica Davis; brothers, Gerald Davis (Darlene), Anthony Davis and Jeffrey Davis; sisters-in-law, Patricia Davis, Darlene Davis, and Theresa Davis all of Tampa, Florida; aunt: Shirley Williams of Tampa, Florida.; nieces, Kathy Hepburn, Kesha Rose, Meka Davis, Shonda Lockwood (Derricus), Cimone Watson (Terrance), Erica Francois (Pierre), Ebony, Ashely, Nicole, Cecelia and Vicknesia Davis, Tameka Gant (Chris), Utara King, Nattana, Jordan and Jasmine Davis; nephews; Waymon Rose, Gerald Davis (Jen), Shawn Taylor (Meka), Leroy Howard (Kera), Daniel Davis, Jr. (Penny), Jeffrey Davis Jr., Maurice, Antwan Aaron, Gary, Anthony Jr, Rashad and Victor Davis Jr; devoted friends, Shirley Strange, James Baker, Ruby 'OG' Wright, James Elementary faculty and staff; and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, September 13th, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the funeral service.
