Ms. Lucille Hatcher was born on April 4, 1943, in Pensacola, Florida to the late Mr. Peter James and Mrs. Artelia Hatcher-Wilson. She graduated from Booker T. Washington Senior High School in Pensacola, Florida. She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Florida A & M University. Lucille retired after 35 years of teaching at Leto High School. She was a resident of Tampa, Florida for nearly 61 years, she spent 24 of those years at St. John Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a devoted member and active with the Senior Women's Ministry. She eventually relocated to Crowley, Texas. Lucille had a passion for teaching, reading, helping others and loved staying in contact with her family and friends. Lucille was the fourth out of nine siblings; of which six preceded her in death.
Her memory will be cherished by her son, Richard (Ricky) T. Hatcher of Crowley, Texas; grandson, Matthew (Aaron) A. Hatcher of Landsberg am Lech, Germany; two sisters, Rebecca Wilson-Jordan of Montgomery, Alabama; and Loretta Wilson of Marion, Alabama. She also has numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many sorrowing relatives and friends that she loved dearly.
