A homegoing celebration for Ms. Lucinda Sweet of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018 in Jacksonville, Florida, will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of West Tampa, 1302 N. Willow Ave., Rev. Rayford Harper, pastor with Bishop Michael W. Lewis, Sr. of First Victory Cathedral, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery on Tuesday, February 13th at 12:00 p.m. Lucinda was born December 31, 1962 to the union of Willie and Lucille Sweet. She attended Hillsborough county public schools and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School, class of 1980. She pursued her calling in worshipping God through her angelic voice of praise; she sang with the Florida Mass Choir and with many local choirs. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joseph and Rose Sweet; Levis and Pearl Walker and brother, Willie Sweet, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories parents, Willie and Lucille Sweet; brother, Joseph Sweet (Candi); aunts, Rosa Sweet, Nancy McLauren (Jimmie), Armenus McClendon (Carl) and aunt Thelma Sweet; uncle, SW.; nephew, Daquavius Woody (Deja); niece, Lailah Sweet; god-brother, Eric Williams and a host of cousins and other family members. The visitation will be at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, February 10th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
