A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Lydia Haynes of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017, will be held on Saturday, July 12th, 2:00 p.m. at Greater New Friendship M.B. Church, 3325 E. Emma Street, Pastor Ronnie Murray with Rev. James Bivens, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Lydia was born July 16, 1955 in Tampa, Florida to the late Edd and Bettie Mae Bivens. She attended the local schools of Hillsborough County. She loved to dance, eat cake and ice cream, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Edward, Phyllis and Lillie Bivens. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her husband, James Haynes, Sr.; children, Tarsha Sparrow Barnum (Keith), Ayanna and Missy Sparrow; step-children, Sadie Archie and James Haynes, Jr.; grandchildren, Chris, Jr. (Kim), Lytiria, Erica, Eric, Jr., Kedric, Shaquanna, Keon, Nae-Nae, Brenae, Rashaad, De'Eric, De'Andre, Kobe, Rhianna, Neah, Savaris, Javon, Javiona, Jamesha and Ida; great-grandchildren, Dexter, Eric III, Julissa, Brandon, Le'Ron, Cayden, McKenzie, Legend, Empress, Kaleb, Mason, Rashaad, Jr., Kayonni and Kedric, Jr.; brothers, Rev. James Bivens (Freddie) and Min. Melvin Bivens (Sandra); sisters, Faye Parker (George) and Sunday Reese (Archie); a very special niece, Jahyra Jackson; and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, August 11th, from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
