Obituary

Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Mable Wilson Edwards of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2016, will be held on Saturday, January 16th, 2:00 p.m. at Cathedral of Faith Church, 6304 N. 30th Street, Apostle James H. Howell, Sr., pastor with Elder Henry Ammons, eulogist. The interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mable Wilson Edwards was born in Tampa, Florida on May 11, 1924 to the late Hattie Mae Warren and Clyde Wilson, Sr. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Edward Luther Edwards; sisters, Irene Wilson, Juanita Ruby Lee Anderson and Lillie Mae Williams; brothers, Donald and Clyde Wilson, Jr. and granddaughter, Teresina Denise Edwards. Mable lived a full and productive life filled with love and joy surrounded by her family and friends who loved her dearly. Mable was clothed with strength and dignity, laughed without fear of the future, and spoke words of wisdom. She carefully and lovingly watched over her household and made it a home. She suffered nothing from laziness and worked hard. She lived a life of integrity, character and high standards. Mable leaves behind a legacy of love, a banner of strength, a badge of honor and a shield of respect for her family to uphold. Her children and children's children stand, salute and bless her. She leaves to cherish and honor her memories: sister, Ruth Aniah; sons, E.L. Edwards, Jr. and Willie Hickson, Jr.; daughters, Phyllis Rose and Sylvia Ann Edwards; granddaughters, Veda Valencia and Yani LaToya Edwards and Tiesha Rashon Peal; grandsons, Adam Maurice and Jason Herbert Nixon, Dwayne Jomaal and DeAundrea Peal, John Jacque and Jadiem Edwards; nieces, Nicole Brown, Faye Griggs, Cheryl Anderson, Twanda Grant, Phyllis Cooper, Lavern Woodard, Jackie Wilson, Rosemarie Negron and Jacqueline Wilson; nephews, Howard Wilson, Michael, Earnest and Anthony Anderson, Robert Lee and Leroy Vann, Elder Henry Ammons, Marvin Davis, Derrick and Michael Wilson; a host of other great and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to service. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
