A celebration of life will be held for Mr. MacArthur Turner (Pie) of Tampa, who passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2011, will be held on Thursday, December 29th, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd with, Pastor. Joe L. Johnson, of Trinity CME Church officiating, Interment will follow in Florida National Cemetery. MacArthur Turner was a native of Donalsonville, Georgia and a resident of Tampa for over 35 years. He served in the United States Air Force. He attended Trinity C.M.E Church, Pastor Joe Johnson. He met and married Beverly Coachman and to this union one child was born, Katrina Michelle Turner. He was preceded in death by: parents, John Cato Turner (Eddie Eva); brother, Wesley Jones and sister, Carolyn Parks. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 33 years, Beverly Coachman Turner; a daughter, Katrina Michelle Turner and friend; 3 sisters, Johnnie Mae Calloway and husband Herman, Mary Freeman and husband William and Mavene Shields and husband Jeff; 2 brothers, Joe Turner and wife Patricia and Andrew Turner; 1 grandson, A'Monte L. Thomas; cousins, Maxine Williams and Delores Roe; his goddaughter, Mahognany James; godson, Tameel Scott; friends, Herman Brown, Marshall Corpening and Virgil Hawthorne; sister-in-law, Sharon Frazier and husband Andrew and family; brother-in-law Gregory Coachman a and wife Devita and family, Ronald Coachman and a host of other nieces, nephews and other relatives. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Wednesday from 12-6 .Family and friends are asked to meet at the Chapel for the service.
