Maceo, affectionately nicknamed "High Pocket", was born on February 19, 1948 to Maceo A. Chaney, Sr. and Pansy L. Brown Chaney. He enjoyed playing billiards and watching football and true crime television shows.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maceo A. Chaney, Sr. and Pansy L. Brown Chaney; grandmother, Petronia Chaney; and aunts, Beatrice and Blanche Chaney.

He leaves to cherish memories with his wife, Patricia Chaney; children, Telesia Chaney Stephens (Minister Lance), Keylon Chaney, Maceo Antonio Chaney III, Patrick White (Andrita), and Paul White (Andrea); grandchildren, Heaven Sanaa Stephens, Patrick White II, Musa Malik, Kane White, and Solomon Robinson; brothers, Micky Chaney (Felicia) and Ricky Chaney; sisters, Debbie, Pansy, and Gwen Chaney; favorite cousin and very best friend, Larry Duggins; and a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
